Fans of the crime drama "The Blacklist" were surprised when they saw Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) die in season 3, but it turned out that she only faked it and her reasons have yet to be known.
In the show's season finale, Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader) and the covert group known as the Post Office aimed to apprehend Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen). However, Alexander had set his set sights on kidnapping Elizabeth's baby and followed Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold) to Cuba in which the latter met with his supposedly dead wife Elizabeth.
Some of the fans had seen this coming, but most of them were shocked when they saw Elizabeth being carried out in a body bag.
They were even more surprised when Tom's happy reunion with her wife was cut short due to Elizabeth being kidnapped by Kirk, who revealed himself to Elizabeth as Constantine Rostova, her father.
Meanwhile, there are speculations that Elizabeth may find a new love in season 4 now that her marriage with Tom is on the rocks despite the fact that they already have a child.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Jon Bokenkamp said, "It's incredibly complex. And believe me, we've had long conversations like, 'How do they handle this?' The only thing that we feel confident in is it won't be Tom and Liz with a baby, changing diapers, and becoming a domestic drama of a perfect little family who is raising a child. That's not what our audience is interested in, that's not what the show is. The show is about turns, and surprises, and identity, and secrets. We intend to have a lot of fun with the complexity of the situation that they are confronted with."
Season 4 will air this fall on NBC.
